Thapan has been drawing relentlessly since the age of 2, with his work being influenced by comic book culture, traditional art and art from the Renaissance period. He has invested several years into expanding and expressing his creative abilities. A decade ago, Thapan channelled his focus into the aesthetic and extravagant yet tirelessly challenging world of tattooing.
Through his artform, he strives to marry structure with symbols, symmetry with the abstract and simplicity with the surreal. Thapan largely collaborates with clients, visualising individual ideas and portraying them as custom works of art, each unique, yet sharing a style distinct to the artist. Each of his bespoke ideas is catered to and handled at a personal level.
Besides skin art and illustrations, Thapan has expressed his work across varying mediums, which include paper, canvas, walls and digital platforms and is always welcoming of new projects outside the realm of tattooing.
